Lok Chiang is a seasoned professional with a remarkable career spanning over 30 years in human resource management and talent development within the banking sector. During this time, he held a prominent role, leading the human resource function and overseeing a wide array of HR practices. His expertise covered talent acquisition and retention, succession planning, performance and reward management, employee relations, corporate communication, and administration.
In the early stages of his career, Lok Chiang was deeply involved in the labour movement. Here, he passionately represented workers’ interests and served as their advocate during collective bargaining and dispute resolution. His commitment to empowering workers extended to his role as an adjunct trainer in workers’ leadership development programs.
Eager to continuously expand his knowledge and skills, Lok Chiang pursued advanced education. In March 2019, he successfully completed his Master of Training and Development from Griffith University. Subsequently, in September 2022, he achieved a Graduate Diploma in Professional Life Coaching from the prestigious Singapore University of Social Sciences.
Lok Chiang’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982 from the esteemed National University of Singapore. His academic excellence was duly recognized, as he was honoured with the Gold Medal for Most Outstanding Student in Social Work.
